False memory syndrome

(via Arwen/Elizabeth)

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL MEMORY OF YOU AND ME.

It can be anything you want--good or bad--BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.

When you're finished, post this paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.

do you remember the time we both tried out for the cheerleading "a squad"? man, what a day. we'd worked so hard on our routine...choosing the music, choreographing all the coolest moves. wow. we totally rocked. and i don't think they were expecting a "sister act." when we were done, standing there in our spandex pants, tank-tops, leg-warmers and high-top sneakers... sweating and smiling because we knew we'd nailed it...i really thought we'd make the team (or, at least, you would...you know you were better at the gymastics moves). that witch of a co-captain black-balled our application. i still see her sometimes at the mall. she always waves. i never do. but, wow, we would have been great. sure, they offered us the co-captainship of the "b squad," but who wants to be b squad? not us. no way.

i'll never forget it, though.
